- 4 white fish fillets (such as cod, tilapia, or haddock)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice and zest of 2 lemons
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- Lemon slices for garnish
- Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish
Instructions
- Season the fish fillets by patting them dry, drizzling with olive oil, and sprinkling salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder on top.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the seasoned fish fillets, and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown and flaky. Remove them and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium. Add butter and olive oil; let the butter melt.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, and chopped parsley, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste. Simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Arrange the cooked fish fillets on a platter, drizzle with the lemon butter sauce, and garnish with lemon slices and more parsley.
Notes
For best flavor, use fresh lemons and make sure the fish fillets are dry before seasoning.
