A delightful twist on the traditional Italian dessert with layers of creamy mascarpone, juicy strawberries, and coffee-soaked ladyfingers.

- 4 cups quartered strawberries
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/3 cup strawberry jam
- 1 cup strawberry liqueur (or substitute)
- 2 cups mascarpone cheese
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar, divided
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 cups heavy whipping cream, very cold
- 3/4 cup chopped strawberries
- 28 ladyfinger cookies
- 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream, very cold
- 1 cup freeze-dried strawberries
Instructions
- Make the Strawberry Jam: Combine chopped strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice in a saucepan. Cook over medium-high heat until boiling, then reduce to medium-low until thickened. Let cool and refrigerate.
- Prepare the Mascarpone Filling: Beat mascarpone with 1/4 cup powdered sugar, lemon juice, and vanilla extract until combined. Whip cold heavy cream with the remaining powdered sugar until slightly stiff peaks form. Fold half into the mascarpone mixture, then fold in the remaining whipped cream.
- Prepare the Strawberry Syrup: Mix strawberry jam with strawberry liqueur until well combined. Set aside.
- Assemble the Tiramisu: Dip each ladyfinger into the strawberry syrup and layer in a 9×9-inch pan. Spread half of the mascarpone filling over the ladyfingers. Drizzle with 1/2 cup strawberry jam and sprinkle with chopped strawberries. Layer another set of ladyfingers on top, then spread the remaining mascarpone filling.
- Refrigerate: Chill overnight to let the flavors meld. Before serving, whip 1/2 cup heavy cream until stiff peaks form and optionally pipe this on top of the tiramisu. Pulse freeze-dried strawberries until powdered and sift over the top. Garnish with fresh strawberries if desired.
Notes
Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor. Don’t rush the chilling time; it enhances the taste.
