Description

A beautiful and delicious dessert combining rich red velvet cake and creamy cheesecake, topped with fresh strawberries.


Ingredients

  • 1 1⁄4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1⁄2 tsp baking soda
  • 1⁄2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 2 cups cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup strawberries (sliced)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Mix well.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together vegetable oil, buttermilk, and eggs. Gradually add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients, mixing until well combined. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  4. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool completely.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth.
  6. Once the cake is cool, spread the cream cheese mixture evenly on top.
  7. Layer the sliced strawberries over the cream cheese layer.
  8. Top with whipped cream and refrigerate before serving.

Notes

Serve chilled for the best taste and texture. Can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3 to 5 days.
