Description

A hearty one-pot meal combining tender steak, smoky BBQ sauce, and creamy pasta, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into strips
  • 8 oz pasta (cavatappi, penne, or fusilli)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup smoky BBQ sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar or gouda
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak strips until browned. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, sauté the garlic. Add heavy cream, beef broth, BBQ sauce, and honey. Stir well and bring to a gentle simmer.
  3. Add the uncooked pasta directly into the sauce. Cover and cook on medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and the sauce thickens (about 12-15 minutes).
  4. Stir in shredded cheese. Return the steak to the skillet and toss everything to coat.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.

Notes

For a spicy twist, add red pepper flakes to the sauce or substitute the smoky BBQ sauce with a spicy BBQ sauce.
