Description
A hearty one-pot meal combining tender steak, smoky BBQ sauce, and creamy pasta, perfect for busy weeknights.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb sirloin steak, cut into strips
- 8 oz pasta (cavatappi, penne, or fusilli)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 cup smoky BBQ sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup beef broth
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar or gouda
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- Fresh chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the steak strips until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté the garlic. Add heavy cream, beef broth, BBQ sauce, and honey. Stir well and bring to a gentle simmer.
- Add the uncooked pasta directly into the sauce. Cover and cook on medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the pasta is tender and the sauce thickens (about 12-15 minutes).
- Stir in shredded cheese. Return the steak to the skillet and toss everything to coat.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
For a spicy twist, add red pepper flakes to the sauce or substitute the smoky BBQ sauce with a spicy BBQ sauce.
