Ingredients

- 200g dark chocolate
- 150g butter
- 4 eggs
- 150g sugar
- 100g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 200ml strawberry cream
- 100g fresh strawberries
- Powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C and grease a cake tin.
- Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a bowl over low heat, then let it cool slightly.
- In another bowl, beat the eggs and sugar together until pale and fluffy. Slowly mix in the cooled chocolate mixture.
- Gently fold in the flour and baking powder until just combined. Pour the batter into the greased tin.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool completely.
- Once cooled, spread the strawberry cream between the layers of the cake.
- Top the cake with fresh strawberries and dust with powdered sugar for decoration.
- Chill in the refrigerator for about 1 hour before serving.
Notes
Store any leftover cake in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.
