- 200g dark chocolate
- 150g butter
- 150g sugar
- 4 eggs
- 100g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 300ml whipped cream
- 200g cherries
- 100g chocolate shards
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C.
- In a saucepan, melt the dark chocolate and butter together until smooth.
- In a large bowl, beat the eggs and sugar until creamy.
- Mix in the melted chocolate.
- Add flour and baking powder to the mixture and stir well.
- Pour the batter into a greased tin.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool completely.
- Once cooled, spread whipped cream over the top of the cake.
- Add chocolate shards around the sides and top with fresh cherries.
- Chill the cake before serving.
