- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

- 2 large eggs

- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup hot coffee
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups heavy cream, whipped
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Stir in the hot coffee until the batter is thin.
- Pour the cake batter evenly into the prepared pans.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let the cakes cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
- For the cream cheese filling, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Gently fold in the whipped cream.
- Spread the cream cheese filling between the cooled cake layers. Frost the top and sides of the cake with the remaining filling.
- Chill the cake in the refrigerator before serving. Slice, serve, and enjoy!
