Description

A rich and creamy dessert that combines chocolate, cheesecake, and cherries, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 1 ½ cups chocolate cookie crumbs
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
  • Chocolate shavings for garnish
  • Whipped cream for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine chocolate cookie crumbs and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form the crust.
  3. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add sugar and vanilla, mixing well.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in sour cream until fully incorporated.
  5. Pour half of the cream cheese mixture over the crust.
  6. Spoon half of the cherry pie filling over the cream cheese mixture.
  7. Pour the remaining cream cheese mixture on top, followed by the rest of the cherry pie filling.
  8. Bake for about 55-60 minutes or until the center is set.
  9. Let it cool, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  10. Serve with whipped cream and chocolate shavings on top.

Notes

Make sure the cream cheese is softened for a smooth texture. Store in the refrigerator and it will last for about 5 days.
