- 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup cream cheese
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup dark chocolate ganache
- Fresh strawberries
- Mint leaves
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease two 8-inch cake pans.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Add the eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Beat everything together until well combined.
- Slowly stir in the boiling water. The batter will be thin, which is normal.
- Pour the batter evenly into the prepared cake pans and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cakes to cool completely.
- In a separate bowl, whip together the heavy cream, cream cheese, and powdered sugar until you have a smooth frosting.
- Once the cakes are cool, place one layer on a serving plate. Spread a layer of frosting on top.
- Place the second layer on top and pour the dark chocolate ganache over the cake.
- Decorate with fresh strawberries and mint leaves.
- Chill for 1 hour before serving.
