  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 12 oz cream cheese, room temperature
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract
  • 1 1/2 cups whipped topping (Cool Whip)
  • 1/2 cup crushed candy canes
  • 2 packages (3.9 oz each) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 3/4 cups whole milk
  • 2 1/2 cups whipped topping (Cool Whip)
  • 1/4 cup crushed candy canes

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Crust: In a food processor, crush the Oreo cookies (including filling). Add the melted butter and mix well. Press this mixture into the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish and chill in the fridge.
  2. Crush the Candy Canes: Unwrap the candy canes, place them in a zip-lock bag, and crush them with a rolling pin.
  3. Make the Peppermint Cheesecake Layer: In a bowl, beat the softened butter, cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla, and peppermint extract until smooth. Fold in the whipped topping and candy cane pieces. Spread this mixture over the chilled crust and freeze for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Add the Chocolate Pudding Layer: Whisk the pudding mix with the milk until it starts to thicken. Spread this over the peppermint layer and chill until set.
  5. Top and Chill: Spread whipped topping over the pudding layer and chill for at least 5 hours or overnight.
  6. Finish with Candy Canes: Sprinkle crushed candy canes on top before serving. Enjoy this festive treat!
