- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs

- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup Reese’s Pieces, chopped
- 1/4 cup Butterfinger candy bars, crushed
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8-inch round cake pan or line it with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate large bowl, beat together the granulated sugar, eggs, milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract until smooth and well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Pour the cake batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Once baked, allow the cake to cool completely in the pan before removing it.
- To prepare the cheesecake filling, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
- Add the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, and beat until well combined.
- Gently fold in the chopped Reese’s Pieces and crushed Butterfinger candy bars. Set aside.
- For the chocolate ganache, combine the semi-sweet chocolate chips and heavy cream in a heatproof bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth. Let it cool slightly before using.
- To assemble the cake, slice the chocolate cake horizontally into two layers. Spread the cheesecake filling over the bottom layer. Place the second layer on top.
- Pour the chocolate ganache over the cake, allowing it to drip down the sides.
- Let the ganache set and garnish with extra Reese’s Pieces or Butterfinger crumbs if desired.
- Slice, serve, and enjoy!

Serve chilled or at room temperature, pairs well with cold milk or vanilla ice cream.
