Ingredients

- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups unsalted pecan halves
- 1 egg white
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 teaspoon water
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, light brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
- In a large bowl, whisk the egg white, vanilla extract, and water until frothy. Add the pecans and toss to coat.
- Add the sugar and cinnamon mixture to the pecans and toss until evenly coated.
- Spread the pecans on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer.
- Bake for 30-45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes until the sugar hardens.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet before storing in an airtight container.
Notes
To keep candied pecans fresh, store them in an airtight container at room temperature. They can last up to one month.
