Description

A delightful dish featuring tender zucchini topped with creamy ricotta, zesty marinara, and gooey mozzarella.


Ingredients

  • 3 medium zucchinis, sliced lengthwise into 1⁄4-inch thick strips
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Brush the zucchini slices with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Place the zucchini slices on a baking sheet and bake for 15-20 minutes until slightly tender.
  4. Remove from the oven and spread a dollop of ricotta cheese on each slice.
  5. Top with marinara sauce and shredded mozzarella cheese.
  6. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

Make sure to slice the zucchini evenly for even cooking. Add your favorite herbs or spices to the ricotta for extra flavor.
