  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 4 hoagie rolls or sub buns
  • 4 slices provolone cheese
  • Chopped parsley or chives (for garnish)
  • 1/2 cup mayo
  • 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 tbsp prepared horseradish (optional for kick)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder (for sauce)
  • Salt and pepper (for sauce)

Instructions

  1. Make Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together all White BBQ Sauce ingredients. Chill until ready to use.
  2. Sauté Onions: In a skillet, cook sliced onions in olive oil over medium heat until golden and soft. Set aside.
  3. Cook Chicken: Season chicken with garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Grill or sauté in the same skillet until fully cooked and slightly charred.
  4. Assemble Subs: Layer chicken and onions into hoagie rolls. Top with provolone slices.
  5. Melt Cheese: Place subs under the broiler for 2–3 minutes until cheese is bubbly and melted.
  6. Serve: Drizzle with white BBQ sauce or serve it on the side. Garnish with fresh herbs and enjoy warm!
