A delightful dessert combining moist chocolate cake with sweet and tangy strawberry filling, perfect for any occasion.

- 3 cups flour
- 1 cup cocoa powder
- 2 tablespoons baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk (or 1 1/2 cups whole milk + juice of 2 lemons)
- 2 tablespoons vanilla essence
- 2 1/2 cups sugar
- 100 g butter for filling
- 2 cans condensed milk
- 150 g powdered milk
- 200 g chopped strawberries
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C) and prepare the cake mold with butter and flour.
- Mix the whole milk with lemon juice and let it sit for 15 minutes to create buttermilk.
- Sift together the flour, baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder in a bowl. Set aside.
- In another bowl, mix the eggs, oil, buttermilk, and vanilla. Gradually add the dry ingredients while mixing gently. Then fold in the sugar until fully combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared mold and bake for 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow to cool in the mold for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
- For the filling, melt the butter in a pot, then add the condensed milk and powdered milk. Stir until smooth, then mix in the chopped strawberries.
- Once the cake is cool, cut it into two or three layers. Fill with the strawberry and condensed milk mixture, then cover with melted chocolate and decorate as desired.
Notes
Serve with whipped cream and pair with coffee or tea. Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days. Freeze for longer storage.
