Description

A delicious and simple dish that captures all the flavors of traditional cabbage rolls without the fuss of rolling them up.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 small head of cabbage, chopped
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet or Dutch oven, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
  2. Stir in onion and garlic. Cook for 2–3 minutes until fragrant.
  3. Add chopped cabbage, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, beef broth, paprika, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Cover and cook over medium-low heat for 25–30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender and the sauce is thickened.
  5. Garnish with fresh parsley and enjoy warm!

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding spices like chili powder or cumin. If you like a bit of heat, add some red pepper flakes.
