  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 24 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 cups heavy cream, divided
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • Chocolate shavings
  • Fresh berries
  • Whipped cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C) and grease a 9-inch springform pan.
  2. Mix Oreo crumbs with melted butter and press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan. Bake for 10 minutes and let it cool.
  3. In a large bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth, then mix in granulated sugar, sour cream, and vanilla extract, beating in eggs one at a time. Stir in melted chocolate and cocoa powder.
  4. Pour the cheesecake batter over the cooled crust and bake for 60-70 minutes until set. Let cool in the oven with the door slightly ajar for 1 hour.
  5. Melt 1 1/2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips and whip 1 1/2 cups of heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form. Fold melted chocolate into whipped cream.
  6. Spread mousse over the cooled cheesecake and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  7. For the ganache, heat and stir 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips and 1/2 cup heavy cream until smooth. Pour over the mousse layer.
  8. Decorate with whipped cream, chocolate shavings, and fresh berries before serving.

Notes

Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor. Allow the cheesecake to cool slowly to avoid cracks.
