- 8 ounces milk chocolate, melted
- 8 ounces white chocolate, melted

- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease and line a 9-inch round cake pan.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cocoa powder.
- Add milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth and well combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool the cake completely before assembly.
- Melt dark, milk, and white chocolate separately, allowing each to cool slightly.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream with sugar and vanilla extract until stiff peaks form.
- Divide the whipped cream into three equal portions and gently fold one portion into each melted chocolate, creating three mousse flavors.
- Place the cooled cake layer on a serving plate and spread the dark chocolate mousse evenly over the cake, followed by the milk chocolate mousse, and finally, the white chocolate mousse.
- Smooth the top and refrigerate for 2-4 hours until set.
- Optional: Melt chocolate chips and butter together until smooth, then pour the glaze over the chilled mousse cake and spread evenly. Chill until the glaze is firm.
- Serve decorated with chocolate shavings, chopped nuts, or fresh berries.
Notes
Store any leftover cake in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For longer storage, freeze individual slices wrapped in plastic wrap for up to a month.
