Description

A decadent dessert with layers of dark, milk, and white chocolate mousse, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 200g (7 oz) chocolate cookies (Oreos or similar)
  • 1/2 cup (120g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 150g (5.3 oz) dark chocolate (around 70% cocoa), chopped
  • 1 cup (240ml) heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 150g (5.3 oz) milk chocolate, chopped
  • 150g (5.3 oz) white chocolate, chopped
  • Chocolate shavings or curls (for garnish)
  • Fresh berries (e.g., raspberries, strawberries) (for garnish)
  • Cocoa powder (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Base: Crush the cookies into fine crumbs and mix with melted butter. Press this mixture into an 8-inch springform pan and refrigerate.
  2. Make the Dark Chocolate Mousse: Melt dark chocolate and whip the cream with powdered sugar. Fold the whipped cream into the melted chocolate and layer it over the cookie base. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Make the Milk Chocolate Mousse: Melt milk chocolate and repeat the whipping process with cream. Layer this over the dark chocolate mousse and chill for another 30 minutes.
  4. Make the White Chocolate Mousse: Melt white chocolate and repeat the same whipping process. Layer this over the milk chocolate mousse.
  5. Chill and Set: Cover the cake and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight to set properly.
  6. Garnish and Serve: Once set, remove the cake from the pan, add chocolate shavings, cocoa powder, or fresh berries for garnish, slice, and enjoy!

Notes

Ensure whipped cream is cold for better volume. Letting the cake set overnight will give the best texture. Can be made gluten-free with the right cookies.
