- 1/2 cup cocoa powder without sugar
- 1 teaspoon baking powder

- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil

- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a round cake pan.
- In a bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- In another bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, vegetable oil, milk, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until you have a smooth batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool completely before adding mousse layers.
Notes
Store in the refrigerator covered with plastic wrap or a cake dome. Lasts for 3-5 days.
