Description

A rich and creamy dessert featuring three layers of dark, milk, and white chocolate mousse over a chocolate cake base.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup dark chocolate (melted)
  • 1 cup heavy cream (whipped to stiff peaks)
  • 1 tsp gelatin
  • 2 tbsp warm water
  • 1 cup milk chocolate (melted)
  • 1 cup white chocolate (melted)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together melted butter, sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and milk. Combine wet and dry ingredients, then pour into a greased pan.
  3. Bake for 20-25 minutes, then let it cool completely.
  4. Melt the dark chocolate and let it cool slightly. Dissolve the gelatin in warm water and combine it with melted dark chocolate. Fold in whipped cream and spread over the cake base. Refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  5. Repeat the steps for milk chocolate mousse, spreading it over the dark chocolate layer and refrigerating for another 30 minutes.
  6. For the white chocolate mousse, mix a layer of gelatin with melted white chocolate, fold in whipped cream, and spread over the milk chocolate layer. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  7. Serve chilled, garnished with chocolate shavings, cocoa powder, or extra whipped cream.

Notes

Use good quality chocolate for the best flavor. This cake can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
