Description

A rich and creamy cheesecake combining three types of chocolate, perfect for chocolate lovers and special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 20 Oreo cookies
  • 5 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 24 oz cream cheese, room temperature
  • 8 oz bittersweet or semi-sweet chocolate, melted
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 3/4 cup milk chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup + 2 tbsp heavy cream, divided
  • 1/2 cup milk chocolate chips
  • Chocolate curls (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Crush Oreo cookies and mix with melted butter. Press into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan and bake for 8-10 minutes. Let cool completely.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together cocoa powder and sugar. Add cream cheese and mix until smooth. Gradually add melted chocolate, heavy cream, and vanilla extract. Beat in eggs one at a time, then fold in sour cream. Pour mixture over the crust.
  3. Place springform pan in a larger roasting pan filled with hot water. Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 1.5 hours. Cool in the oven for 1 hour, then refrigerate for at least 8 hours.
  4. Heat milk chocolate chips and 1/2 cup of heavy cream until smooth. Spread ganache over chilled cheesecake and let set.
  5. Whip remaining heavy cream until soft peaks form. Fold in cooled chocolate mixture and pipe over ganache.
  6. If desired, garnish with chocolate curls. Slice and enjoy!

Notes

Ensure cream cheese is at room temperature to avoid lumps. Use a water bath for even cooking and moisture.
