- 20 Oreo cookies
- 5 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
- 24 ounces cream cheese, room temperature
- 8 ounces bittersweet or semi-sweet chocolate, melted
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup sour cream
- 3/4 cup milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons heavy cream, divided
- Chocolate curls (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the crust: Blend the Oreo cookies with melted butter in a food processor until you have a fine crumb texture. Press this mixture into the bottom of a springform pan. Bake it for about 10 minutes and then let cool.
- Make the filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the cocoa powder and granulated sugar. Add in the cream cheese and mix until smooth. Stir in the melted chocolate and heavy cream until well combined, then add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, followed by the sour cream.
- Bake the cheesecake: Pour the filling over the cooled crust. Place the springform pan in a larger baking dish filled with hot water. Bake the cheesecake at 325°F (160°C) for 60-70 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center is slightly wobbly.
- Create the ganache: In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the milk chocolate chips and 1/2 cup of heavy cream in the microwave in short bursts, stirring until smooth. Once the cheesecake has cooled completely, spread the ganache over the top.
- Finish with whipped cream: In a mixing bowl, whip the remaining heavy cream and melted chocolate until soft peaks form. Pipe the whipped cream onto the cheesecake.
- Garnish: If desired, add chocolate curls on top for an elegant finish.

Serve chilled, pairs well with fresh berries, whipped cream, or a drizzle of chocolate sauce.
