Description

A delightful dessert that combines fluffy chocolate sponge with creamy nougat and Toffifee candies. Perfect for special occasions or everyday indulgence.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large eggs
  • 100g granulated sugar
  • 100g all-purpose flour
  • 30g cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 50g melted butter
  • 200g nougat cream
  • Toffifee candies for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar until pale and fluffy.
  3. Sift together the flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder. Fold into the egg mixture gently.
  4. Add the melted butter and mix until combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking tray and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for about 10-12 minutes, until the sponge has risen and springs back when touched.
  7. Once baked, turn the sponge out onto a clean kitchen towel dusted with icing sugar.
  8. Roll the sponge up in the towel and leave to cool completely.
  9. Unroll the sponge, spread the nougat cream evenly, then re-roll gently.
  10. Decorate with chopped Toffifee candies and serve.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days. Serve chilled or at room temperature.
