- 1 cup strong brewed coffee
- 3 large eggs
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 2/3 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 24 ladyfinger cookies
- Cocoa powder for dusting
- Chocolate shavings (optional)
Instructions
- Brew coffee and let it cool.
- In a mixing bowl, beat egg yolks and sugar until light and creamy.
- Gently fold in mascarpone cheese until smooth.
- In another bowl, whip heavy cream to stiff peaks and fold into the mascarpone mixture.
- Dip ladyfingers quickly in coffee and layer in a dish.
- Spread a layer of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
- Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with the mascarpone layer.
- Dust the top with cocoa powder and sprinkle with chocolate shavings, if desired.
- Refrigerate for at least 240 minutes before serving.
Notes
Use high-quality coffee for the best flavor. Do not soak the ladyfingers too long in coffee; just a quick dip is enough.
