- 2 eggs
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup brewed espresso, cooled
- 1/4 cup coffee liqueur (e.g., Kahlua)
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce
- Cocoa powder, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×9-inch baking pan by greasing and flouring it.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the brownie mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water until smooth.
- Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
- In another bowl, combine the cooled brewed espresso and coffee liqueur.
- Pour half of the espresso mixture over the brownie batter.
- Blend the mascarpone cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy, then spread over the espresso layer.
- Drizzle caramel sauce over the mascarpone layer.
- Pour the remaining brownie batter on top and drizzle with the rest of the espresso mixture.
- Gently swirl the layers together for a marbled effect.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, checking doneness with a toothpick.
- Let cool completely before slicing and dust with cocoa powder before serving.
Notes
Use fresh brewed espresso for the best flavor. Mascarpone should be softened to avoid lumps.
