  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup brewed espresso, cooled
  • 1/4 cup coffee liqueur (e.g., Kahlua)
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce
  • Cocoa powder, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×9-inch baking pan by greasing and flouring it.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the brownie mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water until smooth.
  3. Pour half of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.
  4. In another bowl, combine the cooled brewed espresso and coffee liqueur.
  5. Pour half of the espresso mixture over the brownie batter.
  6. Blend the mascarpone cheese and powdered sugar until smooth and creamy, then spread over the espresso layer.
  7. Drizzle caramel sauce over the mascarpone layer.
  8. Pour the remaining brownie batter on top and drizzle with the rest of the espresso mixture.
  9. Gently swirl the layers together for a marbled effect.
  10. Bake for 25-30 minutes, checking doneness with a toothpick.
  11. Let cool completely before slicing and dust with cocoa powder before serving.

Notes

Use fresh brewed espresso for the best flavor. Mascarpone should be softened to avoid lumps.
