Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups mixed salad greens
  • 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped
  • 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine fish sauce, lime juice, sugar, and chili flakes; mix well.
  2. Marinate the beef in this mixture for at least 30 minutes.
  3. While the beef is marinating, prepare the salad by combining salad greens, cucumber, carrot, bell pepper, onion, cilantro, and mint in a large bowl.
  4. Grill or pan-fry the marinated beef until cooked to your preference.
  5. Allow the beef to rest for a few minutes, then slice it.
  6. Top the salad with the sliced beef and drizzle with any remaining marinade.
  7. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lime juice before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container but keep beef and vegetables separate for best freshness.
