- 1 lb beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 2 cups mixed salad greens
- 1 cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 1 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh mint, chopped
- 1/4 cup red onion, thinly sliced
- 3 tablespoons fish sauce
- 2 tablespoons lime juice
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine fish sauce, lime juice, sugar, and chili flakes; mix well.
- Marinate the beef in this mixture for at least 30 minutes.
- While the beef is marinating, prepare the salad by combining salad greens, cucumber, carrot, bell pepper, onion, cilantro, and mint in a large bowl.
- Grill or pan-fry the marinated beef until cooked to your preference.
- Allow the beef to rest for a few minutes, then slice it.
- Top the salad with the sliced beef and drizzle with any remaining marinade.
- Serve immediately.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lime juice before serving. Store leftovers in an airtight container but keep beef and vegetables separate for best freshness.
