Teriyaki Shrimp & Pineapple Skewers

Description

Delicious and fun grilled skewers combining shrimp and sweet pineapple, perfect for summer barbecues or quick weeknight dinners.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp (peeled, deveined)
  • 2 cups pineapple chunks
  • 1/3 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  1. Toss the shrimp and pineapple in teriyaki sauce and sesame oil until well coated.
  2. Skewer them by alternating shrimp and pineapple on each stick.
  3. Grill the skewers for 2-3 minutes on each side, until the shrimp turn opaque and the pineapple has a nice char.
  4. Brush with more teriyaki sauce and sprinkle with sesame seeds and fresh cilantro. Done!

Notes

For a different twist, add bell peppers or onion chunks to the skewers. Use chicken instead of shrimp if you prefer.
