  • 8 oz softened cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup minced fresh strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter (for brushing)
  • 1/4 cup cream (for drizzling)

Instructions

  1. Activate yeast: Mix yeast with warm milk and sugar. Let it stand for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Prepare the dough: In a large bowl, mix flour, salt, and butter. Add the yeast mixture, egg, and vanilla. Mix to form a dough.
  3. Knead and let stand: Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until soft. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let sit for 1 hour until doubled in size.
  4. Prepare the filling: Beat the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla together until smooth.
  5. Form the rolls: Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C). Roll dough into a 12×8 inch rectangle. Spread filling, sprinkle with strawberries and sugar.
  6. Roll and slice: Roll dough from both long sides to make 8 slices. Place in a greased 9×9 inch pan.
  7. Let stand and bake: Brush rolls with melted butter, let sit for 20 minutes, then bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Final touch: Drizzle with cream after baking.
