Description

A delightful dessert that combines the creamy texture of cheesecake with the freshness of strawberries, perfect for family gatherings and birthdays.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 1⁄4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 3⁄4 cup warm milk (110 °F/45 °C)
  • 1⁄4 cup sugar
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
  • 1⁄4 cup softened butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 oz softened cream cheese
  • 1⁄4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for filling)
  • 1⁄2 cup minced fresh strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (for strawberries)
  • 1⁄4 cup melted butter (to brush)
  • 1⁄4 cup cream (for final drizzle)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the yeast with warm milk and sugar. Let it stand for 5-10 minutes until it becomes foamy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, and butter. Add the yeast mixture, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix until it forms a dough.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until it feels soft. Place it in a greased bowl, cover it, and let it stand for 1 hour until it doubles in size.
  4. In another bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Preheat your oven to 350 °F (175 °C). Roll the dough into a 12×8 inch rectangle. Spread the cream cheese filling over the dough. Then, add the minced strawberries and sprinkle with sugar.
  6. Roll the dough tightly from either long side into a log shape. Slice it into 8 even pieces and place them in a greased 9×9 inch pan.
  7. Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter. Let them stand for 20 minutes, then bake for 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown.
  8. Once baked, drizzle cream over the hot rolls for extra goodness.

Notes

Store rolls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 2-3 days, or freeze wrapped tightly for up to a month.
