  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1⁄4 cup softened butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 8 oz softened cream cheese
  • 1⁄4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1⁄2 cup minced fresh strawberries
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1⁄4 cup melted butter (for brushing)
  • 1⁄4 cup cream (for final drizzle)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix yeast with warm milk and sugar. Let stand for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, and softened butter. Add the yeast mixture, egg, and vanilla extract. Mix well to form a smooth dough.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5 minutes until soft. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let stand for 1 hour until doubled in size.
  4. In a separate bowl, beat softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  5. Preheat the oven to 350 °F (175 °C). Roll the dough into a 12×8 inch rectangle. Spread the cream cheese filling, sprinkle minced strawberries and sugar on top.
  6. Starting from the long side, roll the dough into a log. Cut into 8 even slices and place in a greased 9×9 inch baking dish.
  7. Brush the tops with melted butter. Let stand for 20 minutes, then bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Drizzle cream over hot rolls for added sweetness.
