Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1/2 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), thinly sliced
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup cooked rice
- 1/2 cup black beans (optional)
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
- Salsa and hot sauce (optional)
Instructions
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Season the steak slices with salt, pepper, cumin, and chili powder. Cook the steak for 3-4 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of olive oil. Add the minced garlic and shrimp, seasoning with salt and pepper. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until the shrimp are pink and cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Warm the tortillas in the microwave or on a skillet to make them pliable.
- On each tortilla, layer the cooked rice, black beans (if using), steak, shrimp, sliced avocado, shredded cheese, and a dollop of sour cream.
- Sprinkle with fresh cilantro and drizzle with salsa or hot sauce if desired.
- Fold the sides of each tortilla over the filling, then roll it up tightly into a burrito.
- Serve immediately with extra salsa or hot sauce on the side.
Notes
Use fresh shrimp for the best flavor and feel free to add other veggies like bell peppers or onions for additional crunch. Adjust the spices to your taste preferences.
