- 2 cups wheat flour
- 100g dark or milk chocolate
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 200g butter
- 3 eggs
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
- Melt the chocolate and butter together in a bowl over simmering water or in the microwave. Allow to cool slightly.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sugar and eggs, and whisk until creamy.
- Add the melted chocolate and butter mixture to the sugar and egg mixture, and mix until blended.
- Gradually add the milk and mix until combined.
- Sift the flour and cocoa powder together in another bowl.
- Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
