- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 cups white sugar
- 3/4 cup cocoa powder
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup oil
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 stick Nescafe (2 grams coffee)
- 1 cup hot water
- 200 grams dark chocolate, finely chopped
- 200 ml heavy cream
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and prepare two 9-inch round cake pans by greasing and flouring them or lining with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
- In another bowl, whisk together the milk, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.
- Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Dissolve the Nescafe stick in the hot water and add to the batter, mixing until smooth.
- Divide the batter between the prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
- For the ganache, heat heavy cream in a saucepan until it simmers.
- Pour the hot cream over the chocolate and let stand for 1-2 minutes.
- Stir until smooth and add butter, mixing until fully incorporated.

Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for better mixing and do not overmix the batter to maintain moisture.
