- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Yellow food coloring
- Chocolate ganache
- Buttercream frosting
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a cake pan.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, and baking powder.
- Add the unsalted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and stir until smooth.
- Mix in yellow food coloring until you achieve your desired shade.
- Pour the batter into the greased cake pan and bake for 25-30 minutes.
- Once baked, let the cake cool. Then, cover the top with chocolate ganache.
- Use buttercream frosting to pipe sunflower petals and rosettes on the cake.
- Feel free to add extra sunflower details as desired!
Notes
