Description

A fun twist on the classic Sloppy Joe sandwich with seasoned ground beef in crispy, garlicky hoagie rolls.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 small onion, diced (plus more for topping)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • 4 hoagie rolls
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Chopped parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, brown ground beef with onions and garlic until fully cooked. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add ketchup, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until thick.
  3. Brush rolls with melted butter and garlic powder. Toast in the oven or skillet until golden.
  4. Spoon the sloppy joe mixture into toasted rolls. Top with extra onions and parsley.

Serve hot and enjoy with optional toppings like cheese or pickles.
