Description
A delightful dessert blending the sweetness of strawberries with creamy vanilla, perfect for warm days and gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 vanilla bean (or 2 tsp pure vanilla extract)
- A pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 cups fresh strawberries (chopped)
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 tsp lemon juice
Instructions
- Prepare the Strawberry Swirl: In a saucepan, cook the chopped strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice over medium heat until soft and syrupy (about 10 minutes); allow to cool completely.
- Make the Ice Cream Base: In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream, whole milk, granulated sugar, and a pinch of salt; scrape the vanilla bean seeds (or add vanilla extract) into the mixture.
- Churn the Ice Cream: Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn for 20–25 minutes until thick and creamy; gently fold in the cooled strawberry swirl.
- Freeze Until Set: Transfer the ice cream to a container, cover, and freeze for at least 4 hours until firm.
- Scoop & Enjoy: Serve in cones or bowls and savor every creamy, fruity bite!
Notes
Use fresh, ripe strawberries for the best flavor. If you don’t have an ice cream maker, freeze the mixture in a container and stir it every 30 minutes for the first three hours.
