Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a bowl, toss the strawberries with sugar and lemon juice. Let sit for 15 minutes to release juices. Mash slightly for a mix of chunky and smooth texture.
- In a large bowl, whisk together heavy cream, whole milk, sweetened condensed milk, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined. Stir in the prepared strawberries.
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions (about 20-25 minutes) until thick and creamy.
- Transfer to an airtight container and freeze for at least 4 hours or until set.
- Scoop into bowls or cones, and top with fresh strawberries, whipped cream, or white chocolate shavings for extra indulgence!
Notes
Use ripe, fresh strawberries for the best flavor. Feel free to adjust the sugar based on your sweetness preference.
