Ingredients

- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
- 1 cup sugar, divided
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Fresh strawberries for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix the chopped strawberries with 1/2 cup of sugar. Let the strawberries sit for 15-20 minutes to release their juices.
- In a blender, combine the macerated strawberries, heavy cream, whole milk, vanilla extract, and the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar. Blend until smooth.
- Pour the blended mixture into a container and refrigerate for at least 120 minutes.
- Pour the chilled mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
- Transfer the churned ice cream into a lidded container and freeze for at least 240 minutes.
- Scoop into bowls or cones and garnish with fresh strawberries. Enjoy!
Notes
Use ripe, fresh strawberries for the best flavor. Adjust sugar based on sweetness preference.
