Description

A delightful homemade ice cream that captures the taste of summer with creamy texture and sweet fruit flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
  • 1 cup sugar, divided
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Fresh strawberries for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix the chopped strawberries with 1/2 cup of sugar. Let the strawberries sit for 15-20 minutes to release their juices.
  2. In a blender, combine the macerated strawberries, heavy cream, whole milk, vanilla extract, and the remaining 1/2 cup of sugar. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour the blended mixture into a container and refrigerate for at least 120 minutes.
  4. Pour the chilled mixture into your ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
  5. Transfer the churned ice cream into a lidded container and freeze for at least 240 minutes.
  6. Scoop into bowls or cones and garnish with fresh strawberries. Enjoy!

Notes

Use ripe, fresh strawberries for the best flavor. Adjust sugar based on sweetness preference.
