Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the sliced strawberries, 1/2 cup sugar, and lemon juice. Let the mixture sit for 30 minutes to enhance the flavor.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, whole milk, 3/4 cup sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until the sugar dissolves.
  3. Add the strawberry mixture to the ice cream base and mix well to combine all the flavors.
  4. Cover the mixture and refrigerate it for 120 minutes to chill.
