Ingredients

- 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
Instructions
- Toss the sliced strawberries with 1/2 cup of sugar in a bowl and let them sit for about 30 minutes.
- In another bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, remaining sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and lemon juice until well blended.
- Puree the strawberries along with their juices until smooth, then fold into the cream mixture.
- Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
- Transfer the churned ice cream into a container and freeze for at least 4 hours until firm enough to scoop.
Notes
Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor and make sure to mix the cream well for a smooth texture.
