Description

Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk

Instructions

  1. Toss the sliced strawberries with 1/2 cup of sugar in a bowl and let them sit for about 30 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the heavy cream, remaining sugar, milk, vanilla extract, and lemon juice until well blended.
  3. Puree the strawberries along with their juices until smooth, then fold into the cream mixture.
  4. Pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  5. Transfer the churned ice cream into a container and freeze for at least 4 hours until firm enough to scoop.

Notes
