A refreshing homemade ice cream with fresh strawberries that is easy to make and perfect for summer.
Ingredients

- 2 cups fresh strawberries (hulled and sliced)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup whole milk
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine sliced strawberries, 1/2 cup sugar, and lemon juice; let sit for 30 minutes.
- In another bowl, whisk together heavy cream, whole milk, 3/4 cup sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt until the sugar is dissolved.
- Add the strawberry mixture to the ice cream base and mix well until combined.
- Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Pour the chilled mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions for 25-30 minutes.
- Transfer the churned ice cream to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 4 hours.
- Scoop into bowls or cones and enjoy!
Notes
Use ripe strawberries for the best flavor. You can also add toppings like whipped cream or chocolate syrup.
