Description

A delightful strawberry cream cheese frosting that adds flavor to cakes, cupcakes, and cookies.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 1/4 cup strawberry puree (fresh or frozen and thawed)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and cream cheese together on medium speed until smooth and creamy, about 2-3 minutes.
  2. Add the strawberry puree and vanilla extract, beating until fully combined.
  3. Gradually add the powdered sugar, one cup at a time, while mixing on low speed. Scrape down the sides of the bowl as needed to make sure everything is well mixed.
  4. Once all the powdered sugar is added, increase the mixer speed to medium-high and beat for 2-3 minutes until the frosting is fluffy and light.
  5. Add a pinch of salt to balance the sweetness and mix until combined.
  6. Use immediately to frost cakes, cupcakes, or cookies. Store any leftover frosting in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.

Notes

For best results, ensure butter and cream cheese are softened. Sift powdered sugar to avoid lumps.
