A delightful dessert that blends rich chocolate with fresh strawberries, perfect for celebrations or a sweet treat.

- 5 eggs (whites and yolks separated)
- 2 cups of sugar
- 3 cups of wheat flour
- 1 tablespoon of baking powder
- 1 cup of warm water
- 1/2 cup of oil
- 1 cup of chocolate powder
- Margarine and wheat flour for spreading
- 2 cups of milk for moistening
- 2 cans of condensed milk (for filling and topping)
- 2 tablespoons of unsalted margarine (for filling and topping)
- 6 tablespoons of chocolate powder (for filling and topping)
- 1 can of whey-free cream (for filling and topping)
- 2 cups of washed and chopped strawberries (for filling and topping)
- Granulated chocolate for sprinkling
Instructions
- In a mixer, beat the egg whites until stiff and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix all the other batter ingredients until smooth.
- Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the batter.
- Pour the mixture into a greased and floured 24 cm diameter bowl.
- Bake in a preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Let it cool, then unshape it and cut it in half lengthwise.
- Place one half on a baking sheet, poke holes with a fork, and pour in half of the milk to moisten it. Set aside.
- To make the filling and topping, combine condensed milk, margarine, and chocolate in a saucepan, simmer, stirring until it thickens and separates from the bottom.
- Turn off the heat, add the cream, and stir until smooth. Let it cool.
- Pour half of the mixture onto the reserved cake, spread 1 cup of strawberries over it, and cover with the other half of the cake.
- Moisten the top with the remaining milk, cover the entire cake with the brigadier, and sprinkle with granulated chocolate.
- Garnish with strawberries and refrigerate until ready to serve.
Notes
Serve chilled for best flavor. Garnish with extra strawberries or chocolate sprinkles. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
