A delightful dessert that blends rich chocolate with fresh strawberries, perfect for celebrations or a sweet treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5 eggs (whites and yolks separated)
  • 2 cups of sugar
  • 3 cups of wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon of baking powder
  • 1 cup of warm water
  • 1/2 cup of oil
  • 1 cup of chocolate powder
  • Margarine and wheat flour for spreading
  • 2 cups of milk for moistening
  • 2 cans of condensed milk (for filling and topping)
  • 2 tablespoons of unsalted margarine (for filling and topping)
  • 6 tablespoons of chocolate powder (for filling and topping)
  • 1 can of whey-free cream (for filling and topping)
  • 2 cups of washed and chopped strawberries (for filling and topping)
  • Granulated chocolate for sprinkling

Instructions

  1. In a mixer, beat the egg whites until stiff and set aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix all the other batter ingredients until smooth.
  3. Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the batter.
  4. Pour the mixture into a greased and floured 24 cm diameter bowl.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  6. Let it cool, then unshape it and cut it in half lengthwise.
  7. Place one half on a baking sheet, poke holes with a fork, and pour in half of the milk to moisten it. Set aside.
  8. To make the filling and topping, combine condensed milk, margarine, and chocolate in a saucepan, simmer, stirring until it thickens and separates from the bottom.
  9. Turn off the heat, add the cream, and stir until smooth. Let it cool.
  10. Pour half of the mixture onto the reserved cake, spread 1 cup of strawberries over it, and cover with the other half of the cake.
  11. Moisten the top with the remaining milk, cover the entire cake with the brigadier, and sprinkle with granulated chocolate.
  12. Garnish with strawberries and refrigerate until ready to serve.

Notes

Serve chilled for best flavor. Garnish with extra strawberries or chocolate sprinkles. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
