Description

A delightful dessert combining creamy cheesecake with fresh strawberries in a layered trifle that requires no baking.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 16 oz (475 ml) heavy cream
  • 14 oz (396 g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 box vanilla wafers (about 12 oz)
  • 2 cups sliced strawberries

Instructions

  1. In a food processor, crush about 2/3 of the box of vanilla wafers until they are fine crumbs. Add the melted butter and mix until well combined. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk until smooth and blended.
  3. In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully blended, being careful not to deflate the whipped cream.
  5. In serving cups or a large trifle dish, layer the crushed vanilla wafers, cheesecake mixture, and sliced strawberries. Start with a layer of crushed wafers, followed by cheesecake mixture, and then sliced strawberries. Repeat layers until you reach the top.
  6. Refrigerate the trifle until ready to serve to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

Best enjoyed within three days. Make sure cream cheese is softened for a smoother texture.
