Description
A delightful dessert combining creamy cheesecake with fresh strawberries in a layered trifle that requires no baking.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
- 16 oz (475 ml) heavy cream
- 14 oz (396 g) sweetened condensed milk
- 3 tbsp melted butter
- 1 box vanilla wafers (about 12 oz)
- 2 cups sliced strawberries
Instructions
- In a food processor, crush about 2/3 of the box of vanilla wafers until they are fine crumbs. Add the melted butter and mix until well combined. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sweetened condensed milk until smooth and blended.
- In another bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully blended, being careful not to deflate the whipped cream.
- In serving cups or a large trifle dish, layer the crushed vanilla wafers, cheesecake mixture, and sliced strawberries. Start with a layer of crushed wafers, followed by cheesecake mixture, and then sliced strawberries. Repeat layers until you reach the top.
- Refrigerate the trifle until ready to serve to allow flavors to meld.
Notes
Best enjoyed within three days. Make sure cream cheese is softened for a smoother texture.
