A light and fluffy cake infused with the sweet taste of strawberries, perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients

- 200 g flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 8 egg yolks
- 6 egg whites
- 200 g sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 50 g melted butter
- 1 jar (270 g) strawberry jam
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.
- In a bowl, mix the flour and baking powder.
- In another bowl, beat the egg yolks with sugar and vanilla until creamy.
- Gradually add the flour mixture and melted butter to the yolk mixture.
- In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form, then gently fold them into the batter.
- Pour half of the batter into the pan, then spread the strawberry jam on top, followed by the remaining batter.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool, then serve.
Notes
Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, and garnish with fresh strawberries for an extra touch.
