Description

A light and fluffy cake infused with the sweet taste of strawberries, perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 200 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 8 egg yolks
  • 6 egg whites
  • 200 g sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 50 g melted butter
  • 1 jar (270 g) strawberry jam

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour and baking powder.
  3. In another bowl, beat the egg yolks with sugar and vanilla until creamy.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture and melted butter to the yolk mixture.
  5. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form, then gently fold them into the batter.
  6. Pour half of the batter into the pan, then spread the strawberry jam on top, followed by the remaining batter.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool, then serve.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, and garnish with fresh strawberries for an extra touch.
