- 200 g soft butter
- 200 g sugar
- 1 pack vanilla sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- A pinch of salt
- 4 eggs (size M)
- 150 g applesauce
- 370 g wheat flour (type 405)
- 2 tsp baking powder
- A little butter for the pan
- 1 tbsp flour for the pan
- 1 tbsp powdered sugar for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (or 160 degrees for fan ovens). Grease a bundt pan (22 cm diameter) and coat with flour.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the soft butter, sugar, vanilla sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Beat until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, continuing to beat at high speed.
- Stir in the applesauce. Mix the flour and baking powder together, then incorporate into the batter.
- Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan and smooth the top.
- Bake the cake in the lower third of the preheated oven for about 60 minutes, then perform a skewer test to check doneness.
- Let the cake cool on a wire rack for at least 2 hours before removing from the pan.
Notes
Dust with powdered sugar before serving. Pair with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for a delicious treat.
