Description
A delightful dish featuring salmon with a sweet and tangy glaze, perfect for busy weeknights or special occasions.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 salmon fillets (or 1 large fillet)
- 1/3 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp fresh lime juice (or lemon juice)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 1/2 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- Fresh cilantro, chopped (for garnish)
- Salt & pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with foil, lightly greasing it.
- In a small saucepan, whisk together honey, soy sauce, lime juice, olive oil, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 3–4 minutes until the mixture slightly thickens.
- Place the salmon on the foil-lined sheet and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- Brush the glaze generously over the salmon and bake for 15–18 minutes, basting once more halfway through, until the salmon flakes easily with a fork.
- Spoon extra glaze from the foil over the top, garnish with fresh cilantro, and serve warm.
Notes
For extra flavor, marinate the salmon in the glaze for 30 minutes before cooking. Use fresh ginger and garlic for the best taste. Increase red pepper flakes for more spice.
