Description
A tasty and fast meal combining rich beef flavors and fresh vegetables, perfect for a weeknight dinner or quick lunch.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup cooked white rice
- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 1 cup green beans, trimmed
- 1 large carrot, julienned
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce (or hoisin for sweetness)
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water (for thickening)
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Optional: chili flakes or sriracha for heat
Instructions
- In a hot skillet, cook ground beef until fully browned and slightly crispy.
- Toss in carrots and green beans. Stir-fry for 3–4 minutes until tender-crisp.
- In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, garlic, and the cornstarch slurry. Pour over the beef and veggies, stirring until glossy and thick.
- Let everything simmer for 2–3 minutes until the sauce clings to the beef and veggies.
- Scoop a mound of fluffy rice into your bowl, load on the stir-fry, and garnish with chili flakes if desired.
Notes
For more flavor, let the beef marinate in soy sauce for 15 minutes. Use fresh vegetables you enjoy or have on hand. Adjust sauce thickness with more or less cornstarch.
