Description

A classic Steak Dinner featuring juicy ribeye steaks cooked to perfection, ideal for special occasions or a delicious treat.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 ribeye steaks
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 sprigs of fresh thyme
  • Butter (optional)

Instructions

  1. Take the steaks out of the refrigerator and let them come to room temperature for about 30 minutes.
  2. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add steaks to the skillet and sear for about 4-5 minutes on each side for medium-rare doneness.
  5. Add minced garlic and thyme during the last minute of cooking.
  6. Optionally, add a tablespoon of butter to the skillet and baste the steaks.
  7. Remove steaks from the skillet and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

Allow steaks to rest after cooking for juiciness. Use a meat thermometer for doneness.
